“Those damn teenagers, so immature, always looking for trouble!”

    & nbsp;   &n bsp; This is one of the many few comments that I hear each day. Adults seem to think that teenagers are all irresponsible, immature, ignorant and always looking for trouble. This can be quite bothering. Sure there are some bad apples but that is the case in every group of people. These days teenagers have been given one certain stereotype that can never be understood.

    & nbsp;   &n bsp; The most bothering fact is that the adults give us so much grief when they were once teenagers themselves. They went through the same issue we did: they experimented, got into trouble, had their fun. Isn’t that what being a teenager is all about? I really hope that I am not going to be like this when I am older, because teenagers get very little respect now-a-days.

    & nbsp;   &n bsp; Although teenagers have gotten a really bad reputation, we are getting a lot better than the past generation. The adults seem to forget that we will be the ones who will be in control of this world. Some adults seem to think that we can’t handle it, despite the fact that we are all very capable young people. So what’s so sad about teenagers? This question keeps coming up but still seem to be a mystery.

    & nbsp;   &n bsp; One of the reasons teenagers do what they do is because of lack of attention from their parents. Kinds need attention, we crave it, and if the only way we can get it is by doing something ‘bad’ or ‘wrong’, then most of us will definitely do it.

    & nbsp;   &n bsp; It just makes me wonder sometimes when adults blame teenagers for everything that goes wrong in the world, when we are the ones who are molding the better tomorrow. I hope that someday, the generations ahead of us, will have a little more respect for teenagers then they do now.

What is love? What is infatuation? Are they not both the same? I think love and infatuation are totally different feelings.

Love…
Love is friendship that has caught fire. It takes root and grows, one day at a time.
For love, the physical attraction is only one aspect of the feelings you share.
Love teaches you to be patient and to plan your future with confidence.
Love is the quiet understanding and mature acceptance of imperfection.
Love is when both partners are allowed to be themselves and feel at ease with the other.
Love involves honesty, respect and trust in each other.
Love means trust. You are calm, secure and unthreatened.
Love gives you strength and grows beyond you.
Love is mutual giving and receiving.
Love means a feeling of commitment to the other.
Love is when you are warmed by their presence, even when they are miles away from you.
Love has a balanced interest in other areas of life besides the relationship.
Love means both people can handle high and lows in the relationship.
Love is when you both enjoy your time together.

Infatuation…
Infatuation is an instant desire which fades away with time.
Infatuation has an element of physical attraction.
Infatuation lacks confidence about yourself and your partner.
Infatuation is the feeling of getting married right away due to the fear of losing the partner.
Infatuation brings the feeling of jealousy and distrust.
Infatuation is having an idealized image of each other with wonderful pictures replaying in head.
Infatuation is marked by a feeling of insecurity with a high level of losing the other.
Infatuation makes you impatient of the imperfection of the other.
Infatuation may bring violence into the relationship.
Infatuation might lead you to do things you will regret.
Infatuation stimulates and you are thrilled but not really happy.
Infatuation makes you miserable when they are physically absent.

 Boredom strikes me this week. I’m really going nuts for I have nothing else to do. A couple of days ago my menstrual period occur so I can’t go to the gym to kill some time. All I got left to do was to watch TV, but there’s no program that catches my attention, and if only my TV set could talk, it will surely shout at me for me to stop scanning the TV channels endlessly. So after a few hours… I got pissed and decided to look for some books to read from my sister’s collection

I read this book entitled “The Starlight Crystal” by Christopher Pike. It really amazed me because besides from its unique story plot, the author also took time and care to create really catchy, interesting, and inspiring dialogues for his characters. Just for instance, there’s this statement that’s been stuck in my head until now.

It goes something like this:

(He refer “creation” as a fulfillment in one’s life or an eternal joy)
I’m really moved and impressed by that statement!!! Because we understand this idea will be controversial, ‘coz people say hold on to your dreams, wish upon the brightest star, and that is fine at a certain point along the path. You struggle to accomplish your dreams- it seems they never come true unless you struggle. But then the night slowly begins to fade. The light of day begins to dawn. The time for dreaming passes. It is then you must leave them behind. You cannot know true joy when you are bound by desire. It is not possible… and you cannot see the true light of the creation, while you wear dark glasses of illusion.

I also learned that “Religion is man-made”. But let me explain first ‘coz I’m sure most of my readers would react violently.

Religion is not eternal. It is not real. At first, it may relieve a soul from the horrors of the world, but that relief does not last. It brings no true contentment. One can join every religion there is, yet the longing for the real does not vanish. It does not matter if you try to convince yourself that it has left. It continues to grow over many lives. Where is the real? Where is the eternal? The soul becomes obsessed to find it. Then the man rejects all religions, all philosophies, and all belief system. He doesn’t want to believe in anything. He has no opinions. He just craves what has always been there from the beginning- himself. His inner self. Then finally, he can be said to be seeker of the creation. My point is it’s not important what’s your religion is or how you express your beliefs… the most important is that you keep your faith in God in your heart.

The story took place two hundred years in the future. Eighteen-year-old Paige Christian has been given a chance to join the crew of the travelers- a special spaceship designed to circle the solar system at near light speed. Meaning one day aboard the traveler, is equal to ten years on earth. The traveler is a time capsule as well as a spaceship. Its purpose is to study the changes on earth throughout two centuries, and then return home. Paige Christian also has a partner or more likely a soul mate, his name is Tem, who was left on earth. The story implies that everything is in a cycle, from the tiniest to the largest thing in the universe are circling in a cycle… it’s some kind of Reincarnation but in a different and simpler form.

Maybe for some it sounds unrealistic, but we never know, Reincarnation might be true.

After reading this book, it made me appreciate my life even more. It made me realized that there’s really a reason behind everything that’s happening in our life. It also made me realized that having “patience” in everything really paid of. I could say that this book is really worth reading for because it made me to stop and reflect my life, and it really changed my perspective in life… it’s for the better that is.
